Gilgamesh reading blog table 1-3
As I read the first three tables in this book, I learned that Gilgamesh is a character that is full of pride. He is always thinking that he is the strongest and most powerful man in the world. He is a little more secure of himself than what he should actually be. As I realized this I remembered the book "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austin. If you have read the book you probably don't see quite a conection right away. But if you look deep into the characters, Elizabeth Bennet, one of the main characters in this book is very similar to Gilgamesh. Even though she tries to hide her pride in this book, she is always thinking that she is smarter than all of her sisters. She also judges people and thinks she is better than every one else. You can't really see this once you start reading the book, but once you get towards the middle of the book and the character Mr. Darcy comes to life, Elizabeth cannot hide her pride when he is around. Same happens in Gilgamesh he doesnt really show his pride until Ekidu comes to life in this book and he cannot hide it from him.
